1. Chrono Trigger: Possibly the best treatment of time travel in a computer game I have seen. 12 different endings depending what you change. This gives it immense replayability.
   
2. Final Fantasy 5: A brilliant (and hard) game in the series. It has good graphics, great gameplay and should keep you tied up for weeks. (English translation here)
   
3. Tales of Phantasia: One of the last SNES games ever released. It has sampled audio, very pretty graphics and an enthralling plot. (English translation here)
3. Three Keith Laumer stories
1. Dinochrome: A lone fighting machine wakes up and continues a war that stopped centuries ago.
   
2. Worlds of the Imperium: Dimension travellers fight a war, and a soldier from our world gets sucked into the conflict.
   
3. Diplomat at Arms: A grizzled old diplomat from an older, more noble time carries out one last mission.
