He's on the edge of acute future shock the whole time

Some days I think I know how it must feel to be Manfred.

I keep getting flashes of the future impinging on the present.

I was watching an otherwise harmless show about how Jay Leno repairs all his classic cars when they mentioned the 3D scanner he was using was now sub $5000. THat makes it a prosumer part. Combine it with a Rep Rap for an end-to-end 3d copier solution (At least for ABS) in your home workshop.

Lets not even talk about some reports I have been seeing that suggest that the first decade of the Diamond Age will be the next decade, and that we are less than 5 years from the first generation of assemblers, possibly as little as 2.
