So what movies disturbed you folks?

For me the list (In no particular order) would be:
Creepshow
The Shining
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover
Inner Senses
Santa Sangre

And no, I haven't seen the Ring yet :-)

Fuck yeah! How did I forget Videodrome?

I can highly reccomend the Criterion Collection edition for all the extra fruit including uncut fullscreen version of the Videodrome S&M footage. Plus, it's digitally remastered and it has all the bits that were cut from the original Australian release. Also, the packaging looks like a Beta casette and the booklet has 2 essays. (!)

Yep, that came to mind straight away as well. Seriously disturbing in a great way. Certainly one of my favourite films of all time.

On the other side of the faves list, I felt that Clockwork Orange was seriously fucked up. I hope I never see that film again.

Eraserhead obviously deserved an honourable mention.

Haven't seen Eraserhead yet.

Clockwork Orange was disturbing, but I found the Shining more so.

I find Orange to be Kubrick's most overrated film. It was probably shocking 40 years ago. Today it's rather tame IMO - although I may have been warped by a few too many Japanese films.
