Dear Purchasers of Advertising

Please, if you decide to put your photo in your advertisment, follow the following guidelines:
  1. There is a reason the advertiser flinched when you suggested it. It's a bad idea.
  2. If you still have to have your photo, go out and get a professional to take, maybe 50 photos of you and get him/her to choose the best photo, not you. They are paid to do this. They do this every day.
  3. The local passport booth is not a professional photographer.
  4. Get someone with Photoshop to clean up the photo.
Also try and avoid the following popular facial expressions:
  1. "The Accused"
  2. "Anally Suprised"
  3. "Potential Mugger"
  4. "Drunk"
  5. "High"

Thank you for your attention.

It was brought on by driving down a street with no less than 6 different photos of real estate agents on various advertising billboards.

Scary, scary photos.

Also known as "Hiding the vibrator"...

It's an unnaturally pained smile.

I think you left off 6. "Billy Idol Sneer"

Well if we're adding new categories, there's also:

7. "Picturing you naked."

and...

8. "Picturing your daughter naked."

You are so right! I saw one of those!

Occasionally you'll get an older gentleman bearing a dodgy mustache and a look I like to describe, together, as "Quick Fritz! Hide from the War Crimes tribunal!"

Also try and avoid the following popular facial expressions:

All depends on what you're selling.

There's also: In the Police Lineup [and Guilty]. I have a passport photo like this. I am not leaving the country again until it's time for a new passport in '08....
