The spa is now circulating water. No idea about any other feature / function in it yet. It has dials and buttons of a mysterious nature. It has water that no longer gooshes out the bottom. It has 'lectrickery via a 15A extension cord plugged in where the Aircon usually connects. (Yes I actually have my 15A appliance plugged into a 15A power point via a 15A Extension cord. The 15A power point is the ONLY device on its 15A circuit, as it's supposed to be)

It's running some water round right now. No Flames. No loud Bangs. No Bakelite burning smells.

Now all I need to do is work out these Chymicals...

Hmm, looks like you're going to get a functional spa long before we do...

Ours is on a 15A circuit, too.

I can give only fragmentary advice on Chymistry - there are all sorts of nuances about dissolved solids levels for sustainable long term use, but for the most part it seems as if before serious spa activity you need to get the pH and chlorine/bromine levels right, and after serious spa activity you should probably change the water anyway.
