MMkay - Interstate promotion?

So, as some of you may or may not know I am running a teeny con later this year. dalekboy suggested that cons over here don't promote themselves over East much.

So, what should I be doing? I have limited resources for time, so I'd like to optomise my "bang for buck".

I just realised, and now is a bad time to realise this, we could have given flyers to Dave to take to melbourne and new zealand, or ju to take things to melbourne, or....

I'll be in Perth from June 29th to July 14th.
I'll be happy to take some flyers to place in shops like Galaxy Bookshop a a couple of comic stores, if they'll let me. If you can think of anything else I can do in Sydney to help you out, just let me know.
