Given how deranged the pitch was to begin with, and how enthusiastically the editor has accepted it (elves! secret societies! shamans! muttaburrasauri), I think I can put anything I want in this novel, and it will all be calmly accepted.
Book three in the series, where the characters attempt to steal the sapphire clock from the gravity research lab at UWA in order to resurrect the space flight program after the apocalypse, is well underway.
I don't know if it's a good thing to just let me write Stuff. There's a lot of background noise in my head.
