He's a masked wrestler! He's a superhero! He's a movie star! He is the father of ten, one of whom is a famous wrestler himself!

El Santo is a real legend!

His son has taken up the mask and cape, and carries on the legend!

In all seriousness, he was never seen in public (in persona) without mask or cape (until a few weeks before his death). He (although not documented in the wiki entry) fought against official corruption, and caused several officials to resign or be removed from office.

One of our favourite MST3K movies features him, under the title of "Samson vs. the Vampire Women".

All round, a pretty cool guy!
